Calvary Campus Is Back for Midweek!
Five consecutive Wednesdays at 7:00 PM | September 12 - October 10
Midweek is back! Calvary Campus begins Wednesday, September 12th and runs for five weeks. The format isn't a service - it's an educational environment where we learn rich spiritual truths from experienced teachers and professionals. All are welcome!
Please choose one class below. We urge you to stay and attend all five weeks of the class that you choose - this is how we design Calvary Campus to be the best it can be for you!
What's for kids? While the adults are in class, we'll have fantastic programming for JKids, Middle School Xtreme, and High School, all happening right here at our campus. Parents of JKids students, learn more about Awana here!
Instructors: Tim Keller (via video), Bob Guaglione
Identity. It's one of the biggest issues we wrestle with in our culture today. How do we build an identity rooted in the Gospel? We'll take a look at how both traditional and our modern western narratives can be disruptive to our spiritual formation and growth as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
The Q Experience
Instructor: John Reilly & Laura Briggs
"Stay Curious. Think Well. Advance Good." That's the slogan of Q, a place where church and culture intersect. We're curating the best videos from Q Ideas Conference throughout the years for those who want to have tough but meaningful conversation and influence the world for good. These subjects will cover everything from politics to race, gender equality, Bible character studies, technology, health and more!
The Tech-Wise Family in the Digital Age
Instructor: JP Finnell
Technology tops the list of parenting concerns today. Based on the best-selling book by Andy Crouch, The Tech-Wise Family, this class equips parents of children and teens to think Biblically about putting technology in it's proper place. Be prepared to practically apply these principles at home! You can purchase Andy's book at The Shelf on a Sunday morning or Wednesday night! It's not necessary that you own it, but it's a really great resource.
The Importance of Self-Clarity in Spiritual Formation
Utilizing the Enneagram for Self-Awareness
Instructors: Brett & Susan Payne
Eager to grow in spiritual maturity but not sure where to begin? Feeling stuck in the way you relate to others? The Enneagram celebrates our Christ-like virtues and uncovers our vulnerabilities that hinder us. It's known as a model of nine interconnected personality types that has helped thousands of people better understand the way they're wired. We'll review each of the Triads and Core Styles and explore your unique personality profile. Join us in this exciting adventure in self-clarity! Class size is limited — we urge you to sign up only if you plan to attend all five weeks of this class.
The (Jewish) Story of Jesus
Instructor: Bob Thomas
We all have a pretty good grasp on the story of Jesus, but what do you know about the story behind the story? There's an entire piece to the Scriptures that gets lost in cultural translation. In this class, you'll get a sense of the Jewish cultural background of the Bible that will help you see & hear the story more clearly. You'll walk away from this class with practical tools and skills that enrich your own Bible reading and transform the way you relate to the Word of God.
