Sunday Mornings in JKids

Here's what to expect for your kiddos on a Sunday morning...

nursery (0-24 months)

We want your family to have a wonderful Nursery experience as we partner in your little one's faith development. Our Nursery strives to be a place where each child feels safe and parents are comfortable leaving their precious little one.

Our ratio of caring adults ensures each child's needs will be personally met as he or she begins to discover the wonderful love of Jesus.

The health and safety of your child is one of our primary concerns. We're committed to keeping our Nursery clean and sanitary.

Preschool (ages 2-5)

3 Basic Truths: Everything we teach our preschoolers is based on one of three simple, but powerful, truths. We use a curriculum that is constructed to meet your preschoolers where they are cognitively, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially. Through age-appropriate activities, preschoolers are building their spiritual foundation so that by the time they graduate to Kindergarten, they know these three basic truths:

1. God Made Me

2. God Loves Me

3. I Am Part of God's Story

Curriculum: We teach preschoolers the Bible is one big story about God's love for them through Christ, bringing these stories to life through video, music, activities, and more. Kids will be immersed in the entire gospel story, taking a journey chronologically through the Bible (from Genesis to Revelation) during the course of their childhood.

k-4th grade

Studies have shown that over half of "churched" kids will walk away from their faith in college. That's a disturbing statistic for both parents and the church. Studies have also shown that when kids consistently have someone of spiritual influence investing in their lives, they are more likely to develop a lifelong authentic faith.

As a church, we begin the process in JourneyKids where we empower and equip leaders to invest in the lives of a few kids in a small group setting. Small group leaders strategically focus on reaching just a few kids with the goal of raising them up into an authentic faith. We call this leading small.

We want every elementary student who comes to JourneyKids to have a person of spiritual influence, a small group leader, whom they can identify by name and who will consistently inspire them to follow after Christ.
