Prison Ministry

Calvary's Prison Ministry is based on Matthew 25:34-36: Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'

Calvary Chapel has four programs at three prisons in the local area:

SCI Chester
Chester, Pennsylvania

George W. Hill
Delaware County, Pennsylvania

South Woods State Prison
Bridgeton, New Jersey

Training for Volunteers
There is a unique calling to those who desire to be part of a prison ministry, as well many spiritual blessings. Volunteers are trained in how the programs work, as well as their roles and expectations. Volunteers are also required to complete access and security training, which will be provided by the corrections facility where they will serve.
