Facilities Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Facilities Manager to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our church and school facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming for congregation members, visitors, vendors, and clients. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for set-up, maintenance, security, and cleanliness of our spaces, providing excellent service to support various events and ministries. The Facilities Manager will work in tandem with multiple ministries and departments across the church and school campus to meet needs, solve problems, and create solutions.

General Responsibilities

Facility Management 

  • Set up and breakdown furniture & equipment for meetings and events
  • Open & close the Sanctuary and Center; secure building by arming and disarming security systems
  • Maintain professional, courteous interactions with viditors and assist when needed
  • Clean offices, meeting rooms, and worship spaces based on daily, weekly and monthly schedules
  • Restock restrooms daily, clean glass surfaces and maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing
  • Dispose of waste & recycling as scheduled; maintain cleanliness and order in designated areas
  • Clean & maintain the kitchen, including commercial appliances; operate dish sanitizers as needed
  • Attend to outdoor areas, performing tasks such as sweeping, trash pickup, and graffiti removal
  • Use janitorial equipment safely and professionally, such as carpet cleaners, floor buffers, and power washers
  • Maintain a clean storeroom and manage supplies inventory.
  • Report maintenance and repair needs; handle special cleaning projects as assigned
  • Communicate via email and attend team meetings and training sessions
  • Ensuring facilities are safe and well functioning 

Seasonal Projects and Special Events 

  • Seasonal outdoor work projects 
  • Planning and implementing annual volunteer work day 
  • Preparing outdoor venue for Sizzlin' Summer services 
  • Snow removal 
  • Assembling furniture 
  • Executing plans for environment designs
  • Other similar duties as assigned

Work Schedule

The position requires flexibility for seasonal events, including weekends and holidays (for example Christmas Eve, Easter). Alternate days off for holidays will be coordinated with management.

Job Must Haves

  • Alignment with and commitment to the mission, vision, and values of ccdelco
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • 1+ years of janitorial or custodial experience is strongly preferred; basic handyperson skills are a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work in physically active roles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; basic computer literacy
  • Capable of performing physical tasks, including setting up furniture, stacking chairs, and moving equipment
  • Detail-oriented, with a high level of care for cleanliness and safety
  • Team player who can also work independently under pressure
  • Courteous, respectful, and able to work with diverse groups
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and some variable hours based on events
  • Must pass a criminal background check post-offer.
